Early in October I had the pleasure to participate in the inauguration of my son’s new school – L’Ecole du Bois des Chères. I got to walk around and see my son’s classroom; it looks a lot like a classroom in the U.S. There is both a language and computer lab (computers are also in classrooms) and the school looks great. Tax euros at work!

Prud'Hommes Election 2008
On December 3rd 2008 there will be Prud'Hommes Elections in France. Prud'Hommes are Labor Judges who settle disputes between employees and employers. Both employees and employers are able to vote for a set of judges that will represent them in local labor courts. Prud'Hommes are elected for 5-year terms.
